AAIB AWARD 2005
Young Minds ...Great Ideas

Following the success of the first round, Arab African International Bank Award 2004, was held solely at the American University in Cairo (AUC), the competition expanded nationwide. In 2005, AAIB Award included two faculties from Cairo University: Faculty of Commerce, and Faculty of Economics and Political Science (English Section) in addition to AUC. Announcement of the second year winners will be on June 2005.

AAIB Announces New Educational Award Program :

An excellent education is the key to a bright future. AAIB sponsors extra-curricular educational activities that enhance the academic experience of undergraduate students while deepening their knowledge of banking and financial issues relevant to the Egyptian economy.

The first winning team for the year 2004 was MNZ Consult, consisting of three AUC graduates : Moatassem Moataz Al Moatassem, Naila Fattouh, and Zeinab A. Fattah. The team was entitled to certificates of merits and the first prize , which amounted to LE 15,000, for developing "Net Shopper", a transaction based Internet Security Card ensuring full security and flexibility to users.

We owe it to Egypt

The Renovation of Cairo University Specialized Pediatric Hospital Abou El Reesh by Arab African International Bank

We have gone a step forward towards strengthening our Corporate Citizenship by organizing & sponsoring the renovation of the left wing on the 4th floor of the hospital, the Kidney and Cardiac Rehabilitaion Units for children.

Our effort in 2004 were not only limited to financial and material donations but also extended to help children get their medical treatment in a healthy, hygienic, and cheerful environment. To brighten up the children's days, a play room was contructed which included a TV set with cartoon cable, games and books.

In 2005, we will extend our efforts to include the Human Factor. Hand in hand, we will work with the hospital's management to upgrade the quality of service and care, by providing training and development opportunities to the nursing staff.

Our role goes beyond profit-making to include a moral mission towards the community.

Hit the green

AAIB sponsors the Egyptian Golf Federation

AAIB made the first move to sponsor the Egyptian Golf Federation. As a competitive game, golf is one of the fastest growing sports in Egypt. We provide financial support to help local golfers represent Egypt in regional and international tournaments to improve the country’s position within the international golfing community.
