Mahmoud A. Al-Nouri is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arab African International Bank; an international bank based in Egypt with a network of regional branches.

Mr. Al-Nouri was previously appointed as Minister of Finance of the State of Kuwait from 2003 until 2005. His professional track records extends over 30 years in leading positions across several Arab and international institutions.

He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Syria Holding Company. Furthermore, he is a board member of Union de Banque Arabes et Françaises (UBAF Paris) and UBAC Curacao N.V.

Mr. Al-Nouri has active community roles, among which are being a member of the Kuwait Economic Society and Abd Allah Al-Nouri Charity Society.

His career took off right after his graduation in 1971, where he worked as an Assistant General Manager in Kuwait and Middle East Bank until 1978.

In addition, he was Chairman of Kuwait Insulating Manufacturing Company from 1976 until 1992. Mr. Al-Nouri was Managing Director of United Gulf Bank from 1980 until 1990 and Chairman of Kuwait Investment Projects company from1986 until 1990.

Mr. Al-Nouri first joined the bank from 1987 till 2002, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab African International Bank. Later on, he was the Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Toras Group – Spain in 1992 until 1993. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Kuwait and Middle East Bank – Kuwait from 1993 until 2000. Also he was chosen to be the Economic Advisor of Kuwait Nation Assembly from 1993 until 2003. Moreover, he was the Chairman and managing Director of Kuwait General Transport Company from 1998 until 2003.

Mr. Al-Nouri graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at the University of Kuwait in 1971.
